Course Description

This course introduces the "App Lab" programming environment as a powerful tool for building and sharing apps. It teaches students how to create and control buttons, text, images, sounds, and screens in JavaScript using either blocks or text. More over, they will know how to respond to user interaction like clicks and key presses. Concepts introduced include variables, user input, text strings, Boolean expressions, and if-statements. 


Course Aim

By the end of the course, the student will:

  • Use features like buttons, text, images, sound, and screens.
  • Be aware of programming concepts such as Global/Local variables, and IF statements.
  • Learn how to solve problems and make design decisions.
  • Learn how to control iteration (loops), and to store and process lists of data rather than single variables. 


Prerequisites

A PC with internet browser and WIFI capabilities.
